What Matters Here

Lending in North Carolina

Every state has its own habits — who closes the file, which programs come up, and what stalls a deal. These are the ones that come up in North Carolina.

NC

Relocation and dual-state moves

Charlotte and the Triangle run on people moving in. A relocation file often means a new job that has not started, a house that has not sold, or income in two states at once — all workable, none of it standard.

NC

Military and veteran buyers

Fort Liberty and the coastal installations put a lot of VA-eligible buyers in this market. VA financing is worth running the numbers on even when a conventional loan looks fine on paper.

Questions

North Carolina Mortgage FAQ

Are you licensed to lend in North Carolina?

Yes. Tyler Nagorski is personally licensed in North Carolina under NMLS #2346195, working from the CrossCountry Mortgage branch at 895 Island Park Drive, Suite 202, Daniel Island, SC (Branch NMLS #2413611). CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC (NMLS #3029) is licensed in all 50 states.

What loan programs are available in North Carolina?

Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, and jumbo financing, plus the NonQM programs most lenders do not carry — bank statement, DSCR, 1099, asset depletion and WVOE. Which one fits depends on how your income is documented, not on how much of it there is.

I was turned down by another lender in North Carolina. Can you help?

Usually. Most lenders carry a handful of products and send a rejection when you do not fit one of them. If there is a path we will find it, and if there is not one yet we will tell you exactly what has to change and how long it should take.
